Topia was called upon to help conceptualize this 609 unit, five story apartment project on the Hudson River waterfront in Yonkers, NY. The project is the first major development of Yonkers Alexander Street master Plan and is expected to spark a revival of this waterfront area. The project is conceived as three towers, set back from the river, with a large, naturalistic esplanade making the connection.
All resident amenities will be up one level from the river, on the podium deck. The two larger buildings are centered around courtyards, with one providing passive greenspace and lounge areas, and the other hosting a more active courtyard. This courtyard will receive a swimming pool with infinity edge, a large central outdoor kitchen, several fire features and associated seating areas, table having and other lounge spaces.
The podium decks also receive multi-level planting beds with mixed native and ornamental plantings. At the esplanade level, swirling beds of native plants and grasses, intertwine with the tree lined walkways.
